New Delhi: The Unique Identification Authority of India has temporarily stopped a crucial feature that lets you alter the address of your Aadhaar card's address without certificate of address.
UIDAI permits users of Aadhaar cards to change their address without any paperwork. Aadhaar card holders can update their address, as long as they have consented to the verification that the address verifyer. An address verifier can be a family member, friend landlord, family member or even a friend who will permit the Aadhaar card user to make use of their address as proof.
UIDAI is now stopping this feature. UIDAI was notified by an Aadhaar Card holder by tweeting that the option to update address on the Aadhaar Card via Address Validation Letter has been halted. UIDAI has asked an Aadhaar issuer to advise the user that they may update their address using a valid PoA document.
Dear Residents Attention: The Affirmation of Address Validation Letter service has been removed until the end of time. Kindly request your address update using another valid PoA document from the list https://t.co/BeqUA0pkqL
